Future
This project has come a long way since the beginning of the quarter in terms of ideation and form. It was a constant breathing, changing idea which has come to a successful experiment and has a few different ways to keep going.
I now imagine a huge screen with a camera attached in a spot where the viewer should stand. This veiwer will pass by this life size screen and see an image, maybe as direct as eyes, following them across the room. The closer they get, the farther the eyes, as if being afraid. The further away, the closer the eyes, as if trying to get a better look.
Technically this would involve a wider range of data collection from the face and a good camera that can capture well in lower light. It would be great if the capture screen can be really wide so the person can walk along a panel of a few cameras and have a constant feedback with the image on the screen.
This will hopefully cause similar feelings of mimickry and self awereness which I was exploring at the very beginning and hoping to achieve within this experiment.
